Using the X-Analysis

Data Flow Diagram with Outline

The ‘Outline View’ is also invoked along with the Data Flow Diagram. The X-Analysis determines the

exact usage of each field by examining the details of underlying source code. The field usage of all

the programs may be viewed at a glance in the ‘Detailed View’. To bring up the detailed data flow

diagram, click on the ‘Detailed Data Flow Diagram’ icon on the toolbar.

The Outline View is displayed only when the X-Analysis preferences options ‘Begin with

Outline’ option is checked. By default the option is unchecked.

The ‘Data Flow Diagram’ displays the objects of different types in different colours. The type of objects

displayed in the ‘Data Flow Diagram’ can be interpreted using ‘Legend’ dropdown icon, which is
