Using the X-Analysis

Variable Where Used view for CUSNO

Variable Where Used (VWU) lists all the source lines where the field/variable of a file/program is

used/referenced in the source member and its associated device files and copybooks throughout the

application.

The ‘View Level’ dropdown menu allows seven levels of ‘Variable where used’ viewing. As we

increase the levels, the references with greater indirection are displayed in the ‘Variable Where Used’

list. The dropdown menu for ‘Variable Where Used’ levels is available on the toolbar as shown below.

The default level to use for ‘Variable Where Used’ can be set using the X-Analysis

Preferences (General preferences).

Let us test various view levels for ‘Variable Where Used’ option.
